the nightshirt chronicles
I bought this fantastical nightshirt in March of 2020 and was devastated when it didn’t fit. It was way too small, I couldn’t button it, it was monogrammed and with no way to return it, I decided to take control of my health and document this journey…in the nightshirt. Up to that point, I had put my health on the back burner and was eating like a 6 year old on a road trip with $100! Since then, I’ve built a team around me and started helping others gain control of their own health and life, as I’ve watched my own pounds and inches melt away, both physically and mentally. It’s so much more than weight loss, it’s gaining your life back!
She always wanted something bigger for her life, outside of the societal norms and traditional expectations. So after graduating from the University of Tulsa, Lori set her sights on Nashville to plant her roots. She began working for the family of Ronnie Dunn of award-winning, country music group Brooks & Dunn and went on to expand her career throughout the music and hospitality industries in Music City.
Feeling the social pressure to move onto the next chapter, Lori moved to Texas for thirteen years to get married and start anew. She worked as the marketing director for Miranda Lambert’s non-profit MuttNation Foundation, traveling around the country and promoting animal rescue. But after her mother was diagnosed with cancer, life got crystal clear for Lori. Taking ownership of what she wanted, she amicably divorced from her husband and moved back to her true home of Nashville, the place where Lori says her spirit lives.
In Nashville, Lori launched a boutique, valet service, catering to the record labels and A-list celebrities in town. She thrived in the industry, carving her own path and trailblazing for women in the male-dominated field. But when 2020 stripped away her professional career, Lori once again took a look at what she wanted next. She decided to take control of the one thing she could - her health.
Thus began the most exciting journey in her already eventful life. In just over 11 months months, Lori has lost 75 pounds but gained a love for her life she’s never felt prior. She started selling the supplements that accelerated her health journey, created her own food plan and has built a clientele of men and women, ages 19-70, who also want to live their healthiest selves.
The Nightshirt Chronicles, as Lori coined her journey, represented so much more than just weight loss. It represented her complete transformation and freedom as she reclaimed her life for herself and started living her own dreams out loud. Lori is currently writing the book of the same title, exploring more of her story and advocating for women. When Lori is not creating, you can find her styling shoots with her 1960s flair, collecting art, or religiously commenting on Glennon Doyle’s Instagram.
